Home Repair Program
Need help with exterior home repairs? The City of Moore Home Repair Program may be able to help. Eligible homeowners can receive up to $8,000 for qualifying exterior repairs needed to ensure their owner-occupied home meets safe, decent, and sanitary housing standards in accordance with the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code.
Program Overview
To qualify for the City of Moore Home Repair Program, you must:
- Have a household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
- Own and live in a home located within the City of Moore.
- Have owned and lived in the home for at least one (1) year.
- Have a current mortgage with no past-due balance.
- Provide a valid government-issued photo ID.
Please note: Meeting these requirements does not guarantee assistance. All applications are subject to funding availability and verification of program eligibility.
The City of Moore Home Repair Program provides eligible homeowners with a 0% interest forgivable loan for approved home repairs. There are no monthly payments.
The loan is forgiven over four (4) years as long as you continue to meet program requirements. If you sell, transfer, deed, or otherwise convey your home before the four-year affordability period ends, you must repay a prorated portion of the assistance.

*Repayment is prorated on a daily basis from the date of loan closing.
Additional loan terms, including repayment requirements, exceptions, and default provisions, are included in the loan documents and will be reviewed with approved applicants before work begins.
The City of Moore Home Repair Program may assist with eligible repairs that improve the safety, condition, and code compliance of your home. Eligible repairs may include:
- Exterior repairs
- Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Roofing
- Windows
- Exterior doors
- Exterior painting
- Soffit repair
- Guttering repair
- Other approved exterior repairs
Eligible repairs are determined during the home inspection and depend on program requirements, available funding, and City of Moore approval.
The City of Moore Home Repair Program does not cover the following:
- Interior repairs
- Driveway or sidewalk repairs
- Lawn mowing or weed removal
- Junk or debris removal
- Vehicle towing
- Land acquisition
- Landscaping improvements
- High-end materials, fixtures, or equipment that exceed standard quality
This is not a complete list. The City of Moore will determine whether repairs are eligible based on program guidelines, funding availability, and applicable regulations.
Income Limits
Household income is one of the requirements to qualify for the City of Moore Home Repair Program. Your total household income must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) based on the number of people living in your home. Submit your completed application and all required supporting documents using one of the methods below. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received and complete. Incomplete applications will be set aside and returned to the review queue once all required documents have been submitted. Office Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

- Applications are reviewed in the order they are received and complete; additional information or documents may be requested to determine eligibility.
- If eligible, the Applicant will be contacted to schedule a home inspection and determine the approved repairs.
- The City of Moore will select a qualified contractor unless the Applicant requests one who is licensed, bonded, City-approved, and meets all program requirements.
- Once all required documents are signed, repair work may begin, and both the Applicant and contractor will receive copies of the signed program documents.
